A few weeks ago, we rolled out version PDF exports, allowing you to generate PDFs of inactive versions.
I'm happy to share that we've also added the ability to generate a version PDF for your current active version. You'll see the new option in the upper right of the main editor pane on any Published article.
These PDFs function the same way as the inactive version PDFs:
- Generated on-demand when you click the link
- Available for 24 hours from time of generation, or until you save changes to the article
- Use the Article Version Custom HTML template to generate the PDF, not the Article template
These PDF exports are available for any article with a Published or Needs Review status.
If you'd like to have a PDF export available for any of the Draft publishing statuses (Draft, Ready to Publish, Rejected Draft), contact us to let us know, so we can add you to the feature request and keep you posted once we add it. (And so we know how much interest there is in it!)
