We're continuing to build out the Customize Text tool, and this week we've added a new Knowledge Base section you can customize: Top Navigation.
This covers a few top navigation elements you can see:
- The Contact Us link
- Login/Logout link
As well as a few that are mainly text-based for broken images/icons or screen-readers:
- Knowledge base logo alt text
- Text labels for the table of contents and search bar
I for one was very excited to be able to adjust "Login"/"Logout" on one of my knowledge bases to "Log in"/"Log out" to better fit my style guide for actions vs. nouns, and to add a logo alt text that actually described the logo. 😊
We won't remove the Beta label from the Customize Text tool until we've captured all the default text strings we use across knowledge bases, but all of the sections we've already released work well, so please don't be shy to give it a try!
