We don't generally change the names of things within KnowledgeOwl, but after years of endlessly confusing conversations about the difference between users and readers and our Account page calling them content editors, we decided enough was enough.
Users, as you have always known them to be, are now authors. User teams are now author teams, user roles are now author roles, and hopefully now we can bypass the weirdness of sometimes calling readers end-users (and if we do, at least there will be less confusion with actual users authors).
Readers are still readers.
You shouldn't see any further references to "users" within KnowledgeOwl itself, but it's going to take us a while to track down every URL and article and category that references users, so please extend me a little extra grace if you still find it cropping up in documentation the next few days!

I think calling us authors makes more sense and makes the hierarchical relationship much clearer. Kudos!
