We know the Glossary is a much-loved feature, and we wanted to repay that love by making it even easier to use.
We're delighted to announce these significant improvements to the glossary:
New create/edit modal with an actual editor
This is my favorite update out of the bunch. Glossary term definitions have always required you to add raw HTML to add text formatting like bold, underlining, and hyperlinks.
We know most people don't think in raw HTML, and we wanted to make it easier for you to format definitions exactly how you like them.
So we've rolled out a new Create and Edit glossary term modal, complete with its very own stripped-down WYSIWYG editor:

This makes it a lot clearer which formatting is supported in the definitions and gives you easy controls to format it yourself. Refer to Add a new glossary term for more detailed information!
A dedicated settings page
The Glossary settings were previously scattered in two different places (KB settings > Search and synonyms and Customize > Website).
We've given Glossary the credit its due by creating its very own KB settings > Glossary page, which gathers all of those settings in one place for faster review and administration. Refer to our updated Set up Glossary documentation for more information!
General UI update
We also gave the general Glossary administration page a facelift to match changes we've made elsewhere in the app, including a new Import modal and generally snazzier layout.
