Authors with the Full Account Admin permission can change Owl Intelligence settings.
To turn Owl Intelligence settings on or off:
- Go to Account > Owl Intelligence.
- Toggle the slider in the the Enable Owl Intelligence section to turn Owl Intelligence features overall on or off for your account.
- Check the AI authoring tools you'd like your authors to be able to access if you have Owl Intelligence turned on:
- Allow authors to use AI to create new articles: Turns on/off the option to Generate article content with AI.
- Allow authors to use AI to generate meta descriptions from article content: Turns on/off the option to Generate article meta description with Owl Intelligence.
- Allow authors to use AI to check article content against your style guide: Turns on/off the option to Use AI to review article content with your style guide. Refer to Turn on access to AI content style guide reviews for more information.
- Allow authors to use AI to convert PDF files into article pages: Turns on/off the Pages option to Import > PDF > Convert to a page with Owl Intelligence. Refer to Import from PDF for more information.
- Be sure to Save your changes.
Owl Intelligence and the selected features are now turned on/off for all knowledge bases in your account. If you'd like to enable all AI authoring tools for your account but restrict different authors to different tools, use custom author roles.
Feature availability
Authors will always see the active Owl Intelligence features unless they're assigned a custom author role that doesn't include permission to use them. If Owl Intelligence is currently turned off, a message will appear prompting admins to enable it or non-admins to request access.
