Happy first day of Spring, to my fellow Northern Hemispherites! And happy Autumnal equinox to our friends in the southern half of the globe.
In step with the changing seasons and the growth that comes from change, I'm here to tell you about a couple of recent bugfixes and an improvement we've made here at KnowledgeOwl.
Bugfixes
We released fixes for these bugs:
Not all files exported in HTML zip export
We had reports that in some cases, the HTML Zip export was only including image and video files, not file types like PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, and so on. We've fixed this and made some slight improvements to the way the export generates.
The export now stores all videos in a "videos" folder and all other file types (like images, PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, etc.) in a "files" folder. (Previously, all files were stored in an "image" folder, which felt misleading!)
Email notification webhook count inaccurate
We briefly had an issue that caused a problem with email notifications. No errors occurred, but it made it appear that all email notification webhooks sent during this period had 0 recipients. This has been resolved, so you should now see an accurate count of the recipients of email notifications that you send out.
New feature drop
And beyond bugfixes, we've also just released another new import tool! 🌱
Import from Document360
We've just released a brand new tool that allows you to import content directly from Document360! With just a few clicks you can now bring existing Document360 content directly into KnowledgeOwl.
This is the content you can import:
- Categories
- Articles
- Snippets
- Tags
- Variables
- Authors
Refer to Import from Document360 to learn how to use it and view specifics on its abilities and limitations. We'll continue to expand on this import based on customer requests.
As you've probably noticed, we've been adding a lot more import tools lately, so if you have content trapped in a tool that we don't currently have an importer for, use the Import from other tool option to tell us more about the tool so we can see if we can build an importer for it!
