🧀 Nat'l Cheddar day bugfixes

Cheddar maybe isn't the most glamorous of cheeses, but it's a staple for a reason. This versatile and tasty friend pairs well with so many things. Recently, KnowledgeOwl's Chief Executive Owl Marybeth shared with me a game-changing use of cheddar: this New York Times recipe for Tomato Cheddar Toast. It's simple, it's alarmingly fluffy and delicious, and it's a sure way to improve any day, whether or not it's National Cheddar Day.

In the spirit of improvement, let me share the bugfixes and improvements we've recently released:

Glossary headaches no more

We had a bug where new glossary definitions were not indented on the Glossary page, and the older ones were. This inconsistency in formatting has now been resolved, and your Glossary should look as lovely as ever:

There was an issue when authors tried to add or remove the link for the Glossary within their Table of Contents. The update (off or on) would not be visible in the table of contents until you saved some other change that updated the table of contents, like adding or removing a category or article or reordering them. We've fixed this, so now you should see (or not see) your Glossary within your table of contents immediately after changing that setting.

Snippet rendering optimization

One of our beloved customers had a massive article that took ages to load. We jumped in to try to help them with this. In the process, we ended up doing a massive optimization of how quickly snippets will be rendered in KnowledgeOwl. If you have articles that are using a lot of snippets, you should see them being much zippier than before.

Owl Analytics now lets you track AI agents as referrers

We’ve made a recent improvement to Owl Analytics that lets you track AI agents (called AI assistants) as referrer types. You can see these details within reports that include referrers, like the Transitions report and the Logs report.
