Well, here's a day well suited to you wonderful writers who use our product. Happy National Dictionary Day! Like many of you, I'm sure, I've had a lifelong love of dictionaries of all sorts. This has continued well into the modern age with Merriam-Webster being among my favorite Instagram accounts, and The Allusionist being among my favorite podcasts. Now, let's get into the bugfixes and improvements recently released on your favorite writing helper 🦉
Improvements
- We made an improvement to how the top navigation bar appears by default. It now is set above the table of contents, which means it isn't cut off when you have the ToC open. It's a small change that makes for a much cleaner look.
- We have added another Import tool to our ever-growing list. Now you can import content from Help Scout Docs with a few clicks.
- Previously, the copyright year was hard-coded into your knowledge base's footer. This meant that if you didn't update it manually, it would be out of date. New knowledge bases now use a merge code that updates it automatically to match the current year. If your knowledge base has a hard-coded year, or a JavaScript-based year calculation, you can replace it with the new
2026Body merge code.
Bugfixes
- Within Owl Analytics, if you went to Overview > Last Month, you'd get an error. We've fixed this now, so you can see last month's Overview without issue.
- There was a bug that caused malformed JSON to be returned when you hit the POST endpoint to create a new webhook via our API. That's been resolved now!
