🤤 Nat'l Fried Clam Day bugfixes

I am from the Maritime region of Canada, just east of Maine — a place where lobster rolls, seafood chowder, and all things from the sea are practically a way of life. Personally, I go absolutely bonkers for fried clams, and will 100% be celebrating National Fried Clam Day.

Now that dinner’s sorted, let’s dig into what’s new in-app!

Fix for File Library URL Redirects

If you had URL redirect articles or categories pointing to files in your file library, and you turned secure files option on or off, those redirects weren’t updating properly. That’s been fixed — URL redirects now update correctly as you enable or disable the secure file setting.

Reader Group Cleanup Now Behaves

Deleting a reader group was leaving things messy — any articles associated with that group would lose the right-hand column in the editor. We’ve cleaned that up. Now, when you delete a reader group, the cleanup completes successfully and the right-hand panel stays put.

Keeping Your Login Page Private

We’ve added a noindex tag to the login pages of private knowledge bases, which tells Google not to index them. No more login pages showing up in search results.

Inherited Reader Group Restrictions Now Update

If you moved an article to a different category using the Change Category button, it would keep the old category’s reader group restrictions — not ideal. That’s been fixed. The article now correctly inherits the restrictions from its new parent category.

Quick Links Work on Topic Titles

Our handy new automatic anchors with quick links were only working for subheadings within topic display categories — not the article titles themselves. We've improved the behavior now so that anchors and quick links will work for titles and subheadings alike.
