Today is indeed the day before American Thanksgiving, but it is also National Jukebox Day. For me, it's a day to reflect on how thankful I am that I no longer work in a place with a jukebox.1 And to celebrate, let me serenade you with the sweet suite of bugfixes and improvements we've dropped recently.
Our Word import feature was briefly broken! We have since fixed it, so you can return to importing your content from Word with ease now :)
Longer embedded videos were stopping mid-video in account that were using temporary access links to their secure file libraries. That's been fixed, so no more cliffhangers when viewing these videos.
We were experiencing some oddness with the formatting of hover-over glossary definitions. New and resaved glossary terms were styled differently than the terms that were uploaded first. We're thankful a customer reported this to us, so we could fix this, and your Glossary terms will have uniform styling.
We discovered a bug where file references were not working for video files. Videos were previously receiving file references, but at some point they stopped. It has been fixed now, but if you do see missing file references for your videos please contact us so we can update the references for you.
The Popular Articles list was a little too thoughtful, with a fourth dot in the ellipsis after 'See More' which couldn't be removed using Customize > Default text. We fixed that, so you can See More... as you'd expect to.
There was a bug causing an error when longer Slovenian meta descriptions were being saved. This has been fixed since, so our Slovenian customers (or authors in other languages with a lot of special characters) should not experience any errors while creating or saving meta descriptions.
1 I worked many years in a bar with a jukebox. I truly loved my job there, and that bar remains my favorite room in the world, but I did not at all like giving up control of what music was being played during my shift. There was one particular album on that jukebox that I vehemently hated, and my best friend would always put it on as he left the bar, just to annoy me—which I do admit is a really funny way to annoy your dear friend.
