Happy National Pastry Day, folks! This is the perfect day to exercise your eating muscles during that long break between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our gift to you, on this puffiest of days, is a list of bugfixes and improvements we've recently released:
Bugfixes
Widget woes
We had a not-so-fun time working out some issues with our contextual help widget. We made some behind-the-scenes changes to improve performance, and this caused an unexpected problem with widget JWT auth. As we fixed that, other things popped up, but we worked quickly to resolve everything. There shouldn't be any more widget-related grief, but if you do see anything funny happening with your widget, please contact us. For those who experienced issues, we're sorry! That's never an experience we want to give our customers.
Bonus: While releasing the bugfixes, we also snuck in an improvement: you can now pass an article or category PLUS an anchor into openArticle/openCategory widget calls.
Article import tool error
For a while, if you selected "go to import tools" from the create article modal, you'd receive a 404 error page. We've fixed this now, so you can get to the import tools as expected via that flow. 🙂
Now on to the sweeter part of this pastry post: the improvements we've made recently...
Improvements
Keep your updated dates when performing a bulk edit
In what can be dubbed a huge quality-of-life improvement, you can now perform bulk edits to articles without affecting their "last updated" date. This caused some friction before because oftentimes bulk edit actions weren't really notable enough to merit a date change.
Export data from Owl Analytics
We're really excited about this one, as we're sure it'll help a lot of our customers. You can now export data from Owl Analytics to create your own reports! 🙂
