Hola mis amigos! Today is National Burrito Day, and I'm here to tell you some changes we've rolled out at KnowledgeOwl recently:
Glossary terms now support special characters
Previously, Glossary terms could only support alpha-numeric characters, spaces, dashes, underscores, and apostrophes. This was a gran obstáculo for folks whose knowledge base languages include special characters and wished to use the hover-over definitions. Now, our many customers in Spanish, French, Icelandic, and so many other beautiful languages can make full use of our Glossary functionality. ¡Olé!
Homepage body merge code moved
Years ago, the Customize > Homepage area did a lot more heavy lifting than it does now. Since then, we've changed this around so it's now where you can additional content to your homepage, rather than where you build the whole page. Due to this change, the location of the [homepage("body")] merge code no longer made a lot of sense.
We've now changed it so that this merge code is located above the category icons, instead of below them. This change should not affect existing knowledge bases, unless you've never saved a single change within Customize > Style. If you happen to be this person and want the homepage text area back where it used to be, please contact us so we can correct it for you.
The AI chatbot and reader groups
When the AI chatbot was being used with specific reader groups applied, the chatbot was disappearing for all readers except Admins in the account. That's no good! We've fixed this now, so the AI Chatbot will play well with reader groups in your knowledge base.
